The surgery has adapted and implemented ongoing safety measures in the practice in line with public health advice from the HSE. We greatly appreciate your support and understanding under these circumstances.
Phone ahead before visiting the surgery
All patients and visitors to the surgery are requested not to attend in person at Sligo Clinic without phoning ahead and speaking to one of our dedicated staff. This is to ensure safety for our patients and to help protect our staff so they can continue to provide care to our patients.

Call your GP: If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, you will need to self-isolate at home and contact the surgery 0719 123 999. One of our GP’s will access you over the telephone. Workers and the self-employed are entitled to Illness Benefit if you have been medically advised to self-isolate or are ill due to COVID-19. Following certification from one of our GP’s, apply online at mywelfare.ie for the emergency COVID-19 payment.
COVID-Testing: A test is only carried out where it is clinically indicated. The test is arranged by the GP by submitting an electronic request to the HSE. While waiting for tests and/or test results, patients with respiratory symptoms and/or fever are requested to self-isolate in their homes. If symptoms worsen, please contact the surgery 0719 123 999 or the emergency services 112 or 999.
Routine Appointment Request: Please do not hesitate to contact the surgery 0719 123 999 where a GP Consultation will be arranged for you with the assistance of our team. The surgery is continuing to look after our regular patients who have ongoing and acute illness.
Primary Childhood Vaccinations: The surgery is running dedicated Childhood Vaccination Clinics to ensure babies are protected. HSE Vaccination Appointment Advice for parents
Antenatal and Postnatal Visits: The surgery is running a dedicated Antenatal and Postnatal Clinic.
Cervical Screening Test: Cervical Screening has restarted. Find out when your next cervical screening test is due and book your test with our Practice Nurse. If you have concerns, please contact the surgery.
Repeat Prescription Requests: Order your repeat prescription request by telephone. 48 hour notice is required. Your prescription will be sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy.
